This week, Fresh Start by lifestyled has a special guest contributor, Kristy Schofield.
Kristy will be sharing with us her take on a healthy lifestyle, helping you with your fresh start to the week. Not to mention, we will also be talking homemade Broccoli soup. While Kristy is a Real Estate Agent by profession, she has a strong passion for health and wellness.
So thanks for sharing with us what’s fresh this week, Kristy!
Healthy to me is taking care of your body inside and out by; exercising regularly, eating clean but at the same time still indulging in moderation, and having a positive mentality. Working as a real estate agent I start my days early- I want to make the most of my time. During the week I like exercising in the morning because it starts my day off right. It helps you push your self both physically and mentally. Your mind will click and realize “Yes, I did it. I accomplished my goal of working out this morning”. Having that feeling of accomplishment that early in the morning is a great way to motivate you to accomplish your next goal for that day. Even if you just make it there for 15-20 minutes you still showed up and you should reward yourself for that.
I have really been enjoying cooking and trying new healthy recipes that I sometimes just make up on the fly. My mom always said “if your ingredients are fresh, it will taste good”. Breakfast is huge for me, I wake up hungry and probably eat 3 separate times before 10 AM. The key is to listen to your body. Some of my friends don’t eat breakfast, I am not saying either of us is right or wrong, you just need to do what works best for you! Everyone has a weakness whether it be savory or sweet. I like to find healthier ways to cook the foods I love, which in return makes me love them more. I recently made homemade broccoli soup, it’s a nice comfort food that is healthy and delicious.
Being positive in all areas in my life has always helped me. When you’re doing good for yourself if makes it that much easier to do good for others and vice versa. Be grateful for what you have in life; your friends, your family, where you live, the list goes on. Recognize your accomplishments and your mistakes and learn from both of them. Learn from others mistakes and accomplishments and don’t be afraid to tell people you think they are awesome.

Now let’s not forget about our Fresh Start Recipe! If you’re a broccoli lover you have to try this recipe for homemade broccoli soup. It’s easy to make and absolutely delicious. Recently I made this soup at home and it was a huge hit with Andrew.
