Mother Nature certainly showed off this weekend. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, and it really got me thinking about how we stay active when the nice weather hits.

It’s sunny, warm, and the snow has melted. This means there’s more day light, it’s easier to work up a sweat, and there is more space to roam freely. This weekend was the first in a long time that I really got to experience all of that.

Thanks to my lifestyle business I got to start my weekend early on the Thursday. With friends in from out of town we really wanted to make the most of Friday. After a good nights rest we headed into the forest to explore.

After leaving the main road to make our own path into the woods, we came out on an elevated rock overlooking a beautiful lake. We were the only ones there and the view was so stunning.

We stayed here for a while and even had a small fire for some extra warmth. I can’t wait to go back when there are leaves on the trees. I think then, it would be even more breathtaking. The thing I loved most about this adventure was feeling physically rewarded afterwards. I’m lucky to have friends that I can stay active with.

Later on we headed back into town, and had our first patio drink of the season – because it’s all about balance right? In the evening, we played games like Can Jam and some more friends joined in on the festivities.

It was a fun weekend had by all, and a great start to staying active with the change in weather. I can’t wait to see what the next few weeks have in store. I already know that some new and improved lifestyle changes are on the horizon. You’ll want to stay tuned for next week’s post for more on staying active.

Yours truly,

Melissa Alyse
