Fun, challenging, and competitive are the three words I would use to describe by first week with a Fitbit. It’s also probably safe to say that I have become a bit obsessed with it. When it comes to working out & weight management, I am motivated the most when I am apart of a competition. So, it was only fitting that for my first week I would join a “Workweek Hustle” challenge with some of my best girlfriends.
While I did not come out the winner, I did place second overall! When I got my weekly progress report to my email on Tuesday I didn’t think I did too shabby. But what I really want to talk about is my experience with the product rather than the challenge itself.
When I first got my Fitbit, I got it all charged up and ready to go. Then I downloaded the app to my iPhone. Now, let me just say THIS. APP. IS. AWESOME. I love that I can track my steps, my water intake, and my calorie intake throughout the day. It is an app that lets me do all the tracking that I was doing before in several different apps, all in one. My organizational brain was in heaven all week!
The other aspect of the product that I really like is the alert system. When your phone is close enough in proximity to you to connect to Bluetooth, the Fitbit will actually notify you of any incoming calls you may have. In all honesty, it saved me from missing a couple important calls last week due to me having my phone on silent.
The third thing that I found so cool was that it tracked my sleeping patterns. It showed me how many times I was restless or awake throughout the night. Then it tracked how much sleep I actually got overall. I found that to be really helpful when comparing it to how active I was the next day or the types of food I ate the day before.
I truly LOVE the Fitbit and the companion app. They both have just become a big game-changer in my life and I am super stoked to see what heights I can reach while challenging myself and others.
