Well hello again, Reader! Remember last week when I told you the Henderson house had to pull out of the Willow Creek Christmas Home Tour? And that Sarah had already found another house to take its place? Well… It’s my old farmhouse. The one I sold when I moved to Meadow Ridge last year. The one with the creaky floors, the crooked porch rail, and enough “character” that five of the windows refuse to open on a nice cool morning. 🙄 And apparently, they’ve brought in a big-time decorator from Waco to bring it to life for Christmas. Now here’s the part you won’t read in the Willow Creek Gazette. The gentleman who bought my farmhouse is Caleb Walker. You don’t know him? That’s because the man is either at the fire station or at home working on that house. 😅 You might catch him at Grace Chapel every once in a while too, sitting with his sister, Lauren and his niece, Chloe. He’s one of our brave Willow Creek firefighters, just as nice as can be. And he was one of the first on the scene at that fire I told you about last week. And that fancy decorator from Waco? Her name is Vanessa Brooks, and she owns this high-end decorating company called Evergreen Elegance. She also just happens to be Lauren’s best friend. So now Vanessa is spending a good bit of her December right here in Willow Creek, decorating his house. I even heard the two of them went out to the Christmas tree farm together to pick out the trees. Now, I’m not saying that means anything. But I have played bridge long enough to know when a hand is about to get interesting. 😏 Well, that’s all I’ve got for now. Thanks for having me these last two weeks. I’m off to bake a batch of molasses cookies for Coffee with Your Cream Cafe, and then maybe I’ll finally make some progress on that cross-stitching project of mine. Much love, Lora Bennett P.S.
